Air Force Training Information

F16 Refueling

Course Information:

Beginning in FY10 the Fuels Quality control course will have two course numbers (15 day joint service: J9AZA2F051-01AA; 1 day AF specific: J3AZP2F051-01AA). If you are going to request an AETC funded rental car, you need to fill out and submit the justification letter twice - once for each course number. Attach both on the same email to 2 AF/MRTP. This will get your rental covered through the entire TDY.

This information has been posted to assist you with your TDY to the Fuels Quality Control course at Fort Gregg-Adams. You are in a student status while at Fort Gregg-Adams, and are required to adhere to Air Force and AETC policies regarding student conduct and professional relationships. You will be attending a course that includes non-prior service students from the U.S. Army and U.S. Marine Corps. As a representative of the U.S. Air Force your conduct must be guided by the Air Force Core Values of Integrity, Service and Excellence.

REPORT TO BUILDING: 11430-A, Seaman Petroleum Laboratory, located at 40th Street and Grant Avenue NLT 08:30 hours on the first day of class.

Travel Information:

If you travel by air you will be flying into Richmond International Airport. The RIA is approximately 22 miles from Fort Gregg-Adams. There is no military transportation available from the airport to Fort Gregg-Adams. If you use a cab, please ensure you get a receipt and annotate this expense on your travel voucher. For students driving to Fort Gregg-Adams please call the Petroleum and Water Department at DSN 687-1382 or 687-1389 for assistance with driving directions.

Billeting / Lodging:

Government lodging is space available. There is limited billeting at the Fort Gregg-Adams Lodging, but students may still attempt to reserve rooms. The phone # for Fort Gregg-Adams billeting is 1-800-403-8533. Please check with Fort Gregg-Adams billeting to determine if space is available. If space is not available, Fort Gregg-Adams lodging personnel will provide you with a 1-800 number to contact in order to receive statement of non-availability.

It is IMPORTANT that you include the Non-Availability Statement Number on your Travel Voucher. Failure to do so could result in you not receiving reimbursement for billeting costs.

Per Diem:

There is no USAF Accounting and Finance Office on Fort Gregg-Adams. It is strongly encouraged that ALL students have a government credit card PRIOR to attending the course.

Course Prerequisites:

Minimum AFSC 2F031 and satisfactory completion of CDC 2F051 or higher. Thirty days laboratory experience is desirable. Civilians must have equivalent specialty qualifications. Personnel who have graduated from one of the following courses need not attend this course:

Student Responsibilities:

It is THE STUDENT’S responsibility to bring the following with them when reporting in:

USAF Physical Training (PT) Gear:

Military students will participate in PT three times a week IAW 364 TRS policy. USAF PT gear is required for mandatory PT sessions.

Military students with a medical profile exempting them from some or all aspects of PT must bring a copy of their medical profile with them.

Uniforms:

The uniform of the day for military members is the ABU/BDU with standard issue ABU/BDU cap or unadorned BDU ball cap. Wear of unit caps is unauthorized per 364 TRS policy. Civilian students must wear clothing of a non-conductive nature.

Military students attending this course must bring their service dress uniform per 82 TRW policy.

Additional Requirements:

IAW AETCI 36-2215, para 17.12, civilian employees may be expected to perform homework during their training. There is no compensation or reimbursement for training beyond the 8-hour day.

Special Notes:

Women who are pregnant or think they may be pregnant can NOT attend this course. Some objectives require hands-on training in a fuel environment, which could potentially be harmful to a fetus.

AKO/DKO registration:

"An Army Knowledge Online/Defense Knowledge Online (AKO/DKO) account is required for computer based testing in the Petroleum Laboratory Specialist course. Follow the link below for instructions to complete AKO/DKO registration. This must be accomplished prior to arrival at Ft. Lee."
