Regimental Chief Warrant Officer | 2002 - 2005
Chief Warrant Officer Five Tolbert retired from active duty on 31 October 2005 culminating a 32 year career as the 8th Regimental Chief Warrant Officer of the Quartermaster Corps. He currently serves as Deputy Chief for the Office of the Quartermaster General, US Army Quartermaster Center and School.
Chief Warrant Officer Five Tolbert received a Warrant Officer appointment after completing the Warrant Officer Candidate Course at Fort Rucker . He has completed every level of the Warrant Officer Education System. His military education includes the Warrant Officer Candidate, Advanced, Staff and Senior Staff Courses, the Quartermaster Supply and Service Management Officer Course, the Standard Property Book System Course, the Corps Supply Staff Officers Course, the Contracting Officer Representative Course, and The Army’s Force Management Course. His civilian education includes a Bachelors Degree in Business Management from the University of Maryland and a Masters Degree in Logistics Systems Management from Colorado Technical University at Colorado Springs , Colorado .
Chief Warrant Officer Five Tolbert has served in a variety of career progressive assignments that include; Battalion Supply Technician, 223rd Aviation Battalion, Property Book Officer, 26th Signal Battalion, during this assignment he deployed to Saudi Arabia in support of both ”Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm", Property Book Team Chief and later Chief Asset Visibility Section, Division Materiel Management Center, 4th Infantry Division; Property Book Officer US Army Central Command-Forward, Camp Doha Kuwait; Instructor/Writer US Army Quartermaster Center and School, and Quartermaster Personnel Career Management Officer, United States Total Army Personnel Command.
CW5 Tolbert is authorized to wear the Legion of Merit, the Bronze Star, the Meritorious Service Medal with 6 Oak Leaf Clusters, the Army Commendation Medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters, and the Army Achievement Medal with five Oak Leaf Clusters. Other decorations include the National Defense Service Medal with Bronze Stars, Southwest Asia Medal with Bronze Star, the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Saudi/Kuwait Liberation Medal, and the Kuwait Liberation Medal.
CW5 Tolbert is a Distinguished Member of the Quartermaster Regiment and a recipient of the Distinguished Order of Saint Martin.
