PETROLEUM & WATER OFFICERS COURSE (PWOC)
The 8A-SIR8 PWOC is the senior petroleum and water management course offered in the Army. It provides officers and DoD civilians with joint service, theater-level management skills. Course duration is 8 weeks.
Reporting/Administrative Support:
Students who are attending the Petroleum & Water Officers Course must sign in after duty hours and on week-ends with the Staff Duty Officer at Mifflin Hall Building 5000, phone number (804) 734-5647, the day prior to the start of class. For information concerning reporting or in-processing, contact E Co Admin at (804) 734-3243/3244 during duty hours (0730-1630 Monday-Friday).
Students attending the full 8 week course report to E Company, Room 121, Mifflin Hall (Bldg 5000) @ 0500 the morning of class. Report to E Company in PT uniform for weigh-in; bring two copies of travel orders and one copy each of DD Form 93 and the SGLI.
Students attending only the Joint Phase should contact the course coordinator at (804) 734-1329 for reporting instructions.
All students will report on the first day of class at 0830 to the Advanced Petroleum and Water Division, Bldg 11430B, located at the corner of 40th St and Grant (G) Ave, Classroom 162.
Special Requirements:
For classes and field trips, the uniform is ACU or its equivalent. Weather-appropriate gear is recommended for outside training. Students must bring a calculator with a square root function. Students must have no history of dermatitis or allergic reactions traceable to the effects of petroleum products. Pregnant soldiers cannot attend the course due to possible impact on the fetus.

PETROLEUM Systems Technician WO Basic Course (PSTWOBC)
The 8G-923A, PSTWOBC provides warrant officers with joint service, theater-level management skills. Technical course phase duration is 6 weeks and 3 days.
Reporting/Administrative Support:
Students who are attending the PSTWOBC will report on the first day of class at 0830 to the Advanced Petroleum and Water Division, Bldg 11430B, located at the corner of 40th St and Grant (G) Ave, Classroom 157, following the warrant officer common core phase.
Special Requirements:

UNIT LEVEL TRAINING READINESS Assessment (ULTRA)
The ULTRA provides validation training for Reserve Component Navy officers and enlisted Sailors. The objective of the course is to certify these Sailors for Operational Deployment with land-based petroleum distribution equipment.. Course duration is 2 weeks.
