Douglas M. McBride Jr.
Brigadier General Douglas M. McBride Jr. led a distinguished career as a logistics officer in the United States Army for over three decades. His career culminated as the 55th Quartermaster General and Commandant of the US Army Quartermaster School, where he was responsible for over 110,000 Quartermaster joint service members spanning across all 50 states and four territories. Brigadier McBride Jr. earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Northeastern University, a Master of Science Degree in Resource Management from the University of Central Texas, a second Master of Arts Degree in National Security and Strategic Studies from the United States Naval War College, and a third Master of Science Degree in Strategic Studies from the Air War College. Brigadier McBride Jr. served with distinction throughout his career in a variety of positions around the globe which includes: 3rd Sustainment Brigade Special Troops Battalion Commander; 593rd Sustainment Brigade Commander; Combined Arms Support Command G3/5/7; Commander of the 13th Expeditionary Sustainment Command. Brigadier McBride Jr. has led teams through multiple combat deployments including the Persian Gulf War, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and the War on Terrorism in Afghanistan. He is a member of multiple community-based organizations that seek to provide mentorship, professional development opportunities, and social services to marginalized and vulnerable populations. He is a vocal advocate for veteran and minority welfare.
