Vickie Vachon
Chief Warrant Officer 5 Vachon served 41 years and enlisted in the military in May 1976 at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. She became a Warrant Officer in 1987 first serving as the Supply Systems Technician with the 801st Maintenance Battalion, 101st Airborne Division. She holds a Bachelor of Art’s Degree in Business Management and a Master’s Degree specializing in Supply Chain Management.
Chief Warrant Officer 5 Vachon’s assignments include 25th Signal Battalion, 82nd Airborne Division; 2nd Infantry Division, Camp Casey, Korea; Division Support Command, 10th Mountain Division, Fort Drum, New York supporting Operation Restore Hope - Somalia; and 1st Armored Division, supporting Operation Joint Endeavor - Bosnia-Herzegovina. Chief Warrant Officer 5 Vachon was handpicked to serve as a Detailed Inspector General, Army Inspector General Agency, U.S. Army Pentagon, where she provided critical support in the revision of Army Regulation 600-20, "Prevention of Sexual Assault".
Chief Warrant Officer 5 Vachon was the first female Supply Systems Technician promoted to Chief Warrant Officer Five. She completed all levels of the Warrant Officer Education System and holds a Bachelor of Art’s Degree in Business Management and a Master’s Degree specializing in Supply Chain Management.
Her awards and decorations include the Legion of Merit, Meritorious Service Medal (7th award). She is a Distinguished Member of the Quartermaster Corps and recipient of the Distinguished Order of Saint Martin.
