Basic Petroleum Logistics Division (BPLD)
The mission of the Basic Petroleum Logistics Division (BPLD) is to train Soldiers and Marines to meet the worldwide petroleum requirements for the U.S. Army and U.S. Marine Corps. Our course consists of ten weeks, three days of extensive hands on training on Army and Marine petroleum related equipment. Within this curriculum, we train sampling and gauging, military pipeline operations, accountability, tank vehicle operations, and sling loading. Two training sites make up the BPLD training area; Military in the Field (MIF) and the Petroleum Training Facility (PTF).
Advance Liquid Logistics and Energy Division (ALLED)
The mission of the Advance Liquid Logistics and Energy Division (ALLED) is to provide petroleum, water and laboratory training to U.S. officers from all services as well as to foreign officers, DOD civilians, and support to Unit Level Training Readiness Assessment (ULTRA) - Navy Course. The Petroleum & Water Officer Course (PWOC) is the culminating petroleum course for DOD officers, providing eight weeks of intensive training and planning in all areas of petroleum, water and laboratory operations, including field trips to various DOD and civilian petroleum facilities.
Laboratory Training Division (LTD)
The mission of the Petroleum Laboratory Training Division (LTD) is to produce technically proficient petroleum laboratory technicians, (92L10) soldiers, and (1391) marines for assignment in both active service and reserve component. This division also provides laboratory training to officers, noncommissioned officers, and DOD civilians worldwide. The course consists of eight weeks, four days of extensive technical and hands-on training on laboratory testing procedures in accordance with ASTM Test Methods and their application to Army and Marine testing equipment and mobile laboratories.
Water Training Division (WTD)
The mission of the Water Training Division (WTD) is to train Soldiers to produce potable water to meet the demands of the U.S. Army worldwide. The training course consist of twelve weeks of extensive training on U.S. Army Water Purification and Distribution Equipment. Within this curriculum, we train on reverse osmosis water purification equipment which is the latest in water treatment technology. Storage and distribution subjects range from sling load operation, providing potable water to remote sites, to the setup of bulk storage facilities capable of storing and issuing over one million gallons of potable water.
Marine Corps Petroleum Training Division (MCPTD)
The Marine Corps Petroleum Training Division's mission is to train enlisted Marines (1391) and Warrant Officers (1390) in the Bulk Fuel MOS. Residential training is conducted in the following courses:
- Basic Expeditionary Fuels Technicians Course
- Petroleum Laboratory Specialist Course (NCO)
- Advance Expeditionary Fuels Technicians Course (SSgt-MGySgt)
- Petroleum Officer Course (Warrant Officer)
The Marine Corps Petroleum Training Division (MCPTD) is also the Marine Corps' Center of Excellence for Bulk Fuel. MCPTD has numerous other duties which includes: providing Bulk Fuel and Water Doctrine for Headquarters of the Marine Corps, Inter-service Training Review Organization (ITRO) representative for Bulk Fuel, assisting the MOS sponsor for Bulk Fuel assignments, and the responsible activity for monitoring, reviewing, and updating all Marine Corps fuel related correspondences and courses.
